only 19, lump in breast?
I’m only 19 years old, and I’ve noticed a lump in by right breat. I’ve had it for about a month, my mom .. who’s a nurse told me to watch it and just wait, but it showed up before my period and i’m about to start again. It hurts really bad, like it burns sometimes. My family doesn’t have a history of breast cancer or anything and when my mom and aunt were younger they both got cysts, do you think thats what this is?
Often times it is just a simple cyst which can be painful and will evenutally go away on its own, however sometimes they must be drained. There has been cases of breast cancer at your age, but they are very rare. Just to inform you and the other readers, there is a breast cancer that is very deadly called IBC or inflammatory breast cancer. Unlike the normal lump in your boob, IBC resembles a bug bite on the breast and has to be treated early. You can read more about IBC on google. My personal opinion is that it is probally a normal little cyst that will evenutally fade, but a drs appt. can confirm and put your worries at ease.
Please get it checked out. If it is cancer you could wind up losing your breast or even worse, dying.
Cancer is a fast growing, horrible,painful thing. I watched my wonderful mother in law die from this.

im in the same situation. i have 4-5 lumps in EACH breast and im craping myself. the dr jus told me to come back after my next period. but im gonna push for scans and biopsy, you should do the same hun. its your life at the end of the end.
Well…A lump in your breast could be extremely dangerous! You could very easily have breast cancer or a blood clot in there…either way you could die in just minutes. A blood clot could travel through your body in just seconds, go to your brain and kill you instantly. You are very very lucky if you survive Breast cancer. Even though your nurse Mom says to not worry..you should. You should take it to the Doctor immediately. Get it taken care of. That is scary.
you should defiantly go to the doctor to make sure its not anything to worry about especially if breast cancer runs in your family
your breast change before, during and after your period. always check them on the same day every month about 3 weeks before you are supposed to start. cut out all caffine, chocolate, if you smoke stop. and if you notice a change please go see your doctor asap. i have had 4 tumors removed from my breast, the first at 24 years of age. do not let the doctors tell you that you are too young to get cancer, but do listen to them and if you are still worried please get a second opinion.
