I had my first mammogram one week ago tuesday (july 1). I am 36, have had a hysterectomy. I had mild pain in my left breast before the mammogram. The tech said I had dense tissue, so they had to do a second test, plus a sonogram. Thankfully, only cysts were found, but on a scale of 1-10, I would rate the pain an 8. Can’t sleep on my belly or wear a bra. I don’t like taking pills, so I dont want to constantly take advil. PLEASE tell me this is normal??? How long does the pain last? The first test didnt hurt at all. It was the second round of tests that did it. I thought I was gonna pop open! Now I can’t even feel the lump I had when I needed the mammogram for, and it honestly feels like my breast tissue has changed. Have been to the gyne, says everythings normal. Have to go back in 6 weeks, to see if the lump grows. PLEASE, any and all REAL advice, from women who have ‘been there, done that’, I really don’t want to deal with this all summer………
thank you for putting me at ease…. and no, i have very small breasts, which is why this seems very strange to me…I thought smaller was better, in this case……seems I was wrong.
