small lump in breast?

Small lump in breast?
I am 16 years old and yesterday I found a small lump in my right breast just above my nipple. It is slightly red around the area and a little sore. There is not one in my other breast. It has been just a little less than a week since my last period.

I know non-cancerious lumps/cysts are common around my age and often they go away on their own. How long should I give it before getting it checked out?

Bean-sized lump in breast?

If a bean-sized lump in breast has not changed size in 4 months, and sometimes hurts during the period, can it still possibly be cancer or pre-cancerous, even though seems like a cyst?
The lump stays there even after the period. (it doesn’t disappear)

Painful small lump in breast, showed up within like 2 hours. Do cysts generally hurt? Mom thinks its lymph nod

YourLizzy.com

Does anyone know anything about this? I came home last night, was massaging lotion onto my right breast and felt this small lump, but it HURTS. I’m not scared that it’s cancer, because of how quickly it showed up and that it hurts. I dont think a cancer lump would hurt. It’s about 5 inches from the center of my armpit, on my breast, could it be my lymph node? Mom says it could have something to do with hormones and it supposed to be my period in about a week.

10 year old daughter has large painful lump in breast under areola, any ideas what it could be?

siclberry

My daughter is 10, in the last week has developed a large (about 3 inch in diameter and getting bigger) lump in her right breast directly under her areola. She has not begun her menses as of yet and does not exhibit any other common symptoms of beginning puberty (no hair growth that is). I know that possibly it could be a cyst of some kind….the other breast is flat and normal, the affected breast’s areola is swollen and tender as well. There is a long history of breast cancer in my family, my mother and my sister, both her maternal grandmother and aunt. I have scheduled a doc appt for tommarrow morning, but am thinking about possibly waiting another week or so to take her to the docs, just in case this goes away as suddenly as it appeared…pretty much I don’t think that this is something that needs immediate attention as my daughter says it only really hurts when you poke at it. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
