I’m 19 years old and about a month ago I realize that I had a little lump on my left breast sorta underneath my arm. It’s small, it moves around a little and it does hurt a tiny bit. So far all I have had done is an ultrasound, and I got a call back saying that they couldn’t figure out what it is so I have to see a specialist about it now. My grandma and my mother both have cysts on their breasts, but it was never anything seriously life threatening. I’ve also been on birth control for about 3 years and before I noticed that lump, I had messed up on taking my pills horribly… so I don’t know if that would have anything to do with the lump? and if anyone else has had similar problems. Like I’ve heard if it can move around then that’s a good sign… or if it’s a solid then it’s a tumor and if It’s a liquid then it’s just a cyst… and I noticed during the ultrasound the bump was coming up as black.. so I don’t know if that’s solid. Overall… this has just made me completely worried for the past month and I’m just look for information

Anxiety and Panic Attacks

For the first time I’m starting to be concerned. I’m 17 so I always told myself I’m too young for cancer or my odds would be very low. I had a swollen node under my jaw for 3 years and now I have a bunch of something in my breast so I went to the doctor and he seemed very concerned especially after telling him my family history of breast cancer so he’s having me get a ultrasound in a couple days (the soonest opening they had was in 2 weeks but he squeezed me into wednesday) now I have to wait till then so in the mean time I’m trying to figure out by feel if they could be cysts or tumors. I have been feeling really tired for the last couple months and the skin moves over them… they aren’t very soft.

The Hidden Secret

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant. Last August I discovered a lump in my breast which turned out to be a mass (tumor). A few months prior to this, I had noticed a bloody discharge from the same breast. Thinking it was probably a papilloma, the doctor did sugery to remove it. After healing, I noticed it was still there (the doctor took out the wrong duct) and I asked them to do a needle biopsy. They did and I was told the result showed it to be fibercystic disease (the first biopsy from the surgery showed an infection).

This still confuses me b/c from what I’ve read, fibercystic disease doesn’t cause bloody discharge. I could be wrong. Also, doesn’t “cystic” mean cyst, not mass (ultrasound showed it was clearly a mass).

My question…. if you had bloody discharge, would you breastfeed your baby? All of my doctors say it’s okay but I’m having a hard time visioning this.
This surgery (where they took out the wrong duct) was almost a year ago and I “still” have horrible pain now that I’m pregnant (and the last year during ovulation and pms) due to the stretching of the tissue.

Angina Help

My mom recently got her mammogram and they found a lump in her breast. The radiologist didn’t think it was just a cyst and referred her to another doctor. That doctor actually called it a tumor but then said that she’s comfortable waiting six months and seeing if it changes to do a biopsy. I thought this was really strange, I thought the point of self-exams was to catch something as soon as possible and not wait for your yearly mammogram so to wait six whole months after finding something seems crazy. I could be overreacting due to my mom’s past health history (she’s got MS and in remission of bladder cancer) so I’m wondering if this seems a normal route to anyone in the health industry or with any breast cancer experience in their family.

My best friend went to the doctor today b/c of a pea size lump in her breast. The doctor told her that it was not a cyst! Can they really tell? The breast that the lump was found in is much smaller than the other and also warm to the touch. She has a constant burning sensation! Does anyone have any answers?

Treating Anxiety

Hi I have a question, recently I’ve noticed my breast were developing, because they hurt, but I also noticed they feel a little lumpy. The lumps are very tiny, not like a tumor or cyst. I just want to know if anyone has experienced his before. Also, how long did it take you to notice a size change from the time they started hurting (in general I’m just curious, I know everyone is different)
